DESCRIPTION:To mark the 65th anniversary of the city partnership, the exhibition brings together artists from Heidelberg and Montpellier, creating visual encounters through works of art.\nThe collaborative exhibition serves as both a cultural dialogue and a vibrant exchange between the sister cities. Connections are forged across borders, bringing the concept of sister cities to life through art. A broad spectrum of artistic expressions celebrates “Encounters” in terms of both content and form. “BEGEGNUNGEN – RENCONTRES” invites the audience to experience art as a medium of understanding, as a space for exchange and rapprochement. The exhibition highlights how diverse and yet unifying artistic perspectives can be, underscoring the importance of art as a bridge between people and their worlds. On display are works by 12 artists from each city. The exhibition will then travel to Montpellier, where it will be on view from January 22 to February 13, 2027, at the “Échelles de la Ville.”      \nWith support from the Franco-German Citizens‘ Fund\n
