DESCRIPTION:Concert as part of Enjoy Jazz\nDelphine Joussein is a force to be reckoned with. The French flutist and electronic musician, known for her trio NOUT—which performed at Villa Nachttanz in the fall of 2024— and the “\n” collective COAX, as well as for her collaborations with international improvisational musicians such as Mats Gustavsson and his Fire Orchestra or the ensemble Sauvages Paradis, will present her solo project Calamity. These are sound textures that grow into ornaments. In Joussein’s work, tonal shifts and powerful electronic drones coalesce into a monumental total work of art.
