The city of Montpellier is located in the heart of the largest wine-growing area in the world, which has gained extraordinary quality in recent decades and is on its way to becoming the second largest in organic farming. From the famous Pic St-Loup appellation, known for its complex and refined red wines, to the seaside vineyards that produce, among others, the white Picpoul de Pinet with its incomparable freshness and minerality, you will find a wide selection of wines at the Montpellier House. We offer you the products of the more than 50 winemakers of the metropolitan region of Montpellier at the same price as locally in the South of France. You can also try Lucques olives, a typical variety from Languedoc, with a crisp, tasty green flesh.
Every year, the city of Montpellier offers a mobility scholarship for a student from Heidelberg. The scholarship (500,-€ / month) includes an internship at the House of International Relations of the City of Montpellier (10h/week), access to accommodation and the opportunity to complete an ERASMUS program or a French course of study.
