FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE : ÉDOUARD LAURÉS- CHANSONS FRANÇAISE “With your fingertips”
Concert with French chansons
On Marlene-Dietrich-Platz in front of the Karlstorbahnhof
Admission free, admission at 7 pm
The Karlstorbahnhof and the Montpellier-Haus are celebrating the Fête de la musique for the third time and this time have the chansonnier Édouard Laurès from Montpellier as a guest. With his lyrics and songs, Édouard Laurès gives voice to the unspoken and the hidden. He takes us into dreams of love that have failed in the face of reality and merge into a greater, all-encompassing feeling of love. Laurè’s lyrics are diverse, sometimes light, sometimes serious, but always profound and personal, infused with wisdom and humor. In addition to his own songs, he also sings those of the great chansonniers Georges Brassens, Boby Lapointe and Bourvil. For Édouard Laurès, writing and singing are a path of initiation in which love is the unifying force. This can also be felt in the interplay with his musicians on stage, Bertrand Papy on guitar, Alain Bayle on bass and harmonica, and François Bouët on drums, which is characterized by a captivating complicity and great joy in playing. Together they invite you on a poetic, humorous and satirical journey soaked in blues and world music.
