PANSANEL / ANDERSEN / HÉRAL FUTURE EARLY YEARS

This project has long been close to his heart: a trio (guitar, bass, drums) with its own original repertoire, ranging from jazz to electro, folk and pop. Compositions reminiscent of these musicians’ teenage years, with an infectious energy and enthusiasm. Gérard Pansanel embarks on this adventure, strengthened by his successful encounters with big names on the jazz scene (Lester Bowie, John Abercrombie, Philip Catherine, Henri Texier…). He brings in one of the leading musicians on the international scene of the famous ECM label: the Norwegian double bass player Arild Andersen (Jan Garbarek, Pat Metheny, John Abercrombie, Chick Corea, Stan Getz …). Patrice Héral, also a partner of most of these musicians and of the jazz scene in general (Franck Tortiller, Ralph Towner, Steve Swallow…), is a regular accomplice of Gérard Pansanel’s adventures. Both have performed in Heidelberg on several occasions.
The repertoire specially compiled for this project moves between the new compositions of Gérard Pansanel and those of his accomplices, as well as the improvisational experience of these three strong personalities. Gérard Pansanel: guitar / Arild Andersen: double bass / Patrice Héral: drums
