5TH WINE FAIR METROPOLITAN REGION OF MONTPELLIER
For the fifth time in a row, the Montpellier House is organizing the Montpellier Metropolitan Region Wine Fair in Heidelberg from 14 to 16 November 2025.
As this event has become one of the most important events for wine lovers and gourmets in Heidelberg and the surrounding area, winemakers from 14 wineries will be taking part this year. In order to strengthen and consolidate the exchange between the winegrowers of the two twin cities, three wineries from Heidelberg will once again be represented at the opening of the fair on Friday, November 14, from 6 pm.
As every year, the focus is on tasting and meeting the winegrowers to discover the great diversity of terroirs and wines of the region. Each visitor receives a screen-printed glass at the entrance and can stroll from stand to stand and taste all the wines presented (more than 75).
To strengthen economic ties between Montpellier and Heidelberg, a B2B meeting between producers and wine professionals from the region is planned after the trade fair on Monday, November 17, between 9 a.m. and 12 noon. Interested professionals can register free of charge: anmeldung@montpellier-haus.de
The metropolitan region of Montpellier is home to the largest wine-growing area in France with 3,000 hectares and over 200 winegrowers. This wine-growing region, which has grown over the centuries, has strongly influenced the landscape and created a close connection between the city and the countryside.
Wine is part of Montpellier’s identity, part of the city’s historical and cultural heritage. In addition, there is a lively ecosystem of research and educational institutions as well as a first-class gastronomy and hotel industry. The Montpellier metropolitan region has also been able to gain the additional support of top-class experts in the field of oenology.
Highly committed winegrowers, winegrowers who produce exquisite wines – all this is part of the identity of the Montpellier metropolitan region.
