In the fall of 2024, poets Michael Glück, Anne Barbusse and Jean-Claude Forêt (Montpellier) as well as Sofi e Morin, Marion Tauschwitz and Miriam Tag (Heidelberg) met in Montpellier under the moderation of Jean-Claude Crespy to translate poems by Jean Joubert (1928 – 2015) into German.
A second session took place in Heidelberg in March 2025 so that poems by Hilde Domin (1909 – 2006) could be translated into French for the first time. These poems and their translation are now being published in a bilingual edition by das Wunderhorn, together with those by Jean Joubert, to coincide with the 20th anniversary of Hilde Domin’s death and the 65th anniversary of the twinning of the cities of Heidelberg and Montpellier.
Jean-Claude Crespy, former director of the Alliance française in Belgium, who moderated the two meetings, and Marion Tauschwitz, biographer of Hilde Domin, will introduce both poets and their work on the evening. With the support of the Franco-German Civic Fund
