METROPOLINK URBAN ART FESTIVAL IN THE COURTYARD OF THE MONTPELLIER HOUSE TO CELEBRATE ITS 40TH ANNIVERSARY

A tour while work was being done on a wall as part of the Metropolink Festival

The Montpellier House is celebrating its 40th anniversary in September! That’s reason enough to dress up! What could be better than asking the Metropolink Festival to invite an artist from Montpellier to create a mural in the courtyard of the Montpellier House? Montpellier is a hotbed of street art, home to numerous internationally renowned artists. Over the years, many have made their way to Heidelberg for the Metropolink Festival and left their mark in Patrick-Henry-Village or the Rhine-Neckar district. Therefore, it is now fitting to give one of them free rein to create art in the courtyard as well. Since the courtyard of the Montpellier House is open to the public, you can stop by at any time during the day to watch him or her at work. The artwork is scheduled to be completed in time for our Bal Populaire on France’s National Day, July 14 (see the page after next). The artist from Montpellier selected by the festival will be announced at a later date.
