To kick off World Poetry Day, which is celebrated on March 21, two relevant workshops will be offered to the literary public. Six poets, Michael Glück, Anne Barbusse and Jean-Claude Forêt (from Montpellier) as well as Sofie Morin, Marion Tauschwitz and Miriam Tag (from Heidelberg), will translate Hilde Domin’s poems into French together over the course of the week. On Thursday afternoon, they will enable the audience to immerse themselves in the creative process of translation and writing and to experience the challenges associated with the linguistic and cultural translation of poems.
With the support of the Heidelberg House in Montpellier, the Franco-German Civic Fund and the Baden-Württemberg State Ministry, financed by state funds approved by the Baden-Württemberg state parliament.
