METROPOLINK: FESTIVAL FOR URBAN ART

After the Metropolink Festival 2024 celebrated its 10th anniversary and created a new feature of Heidelberg with the design of the “Heidelberg Pencil” on the chimney of the Heidelberg public utility company (83 m high and 1400 m² in area – the highest enclosed work of art in Germany), the Metropolink adventure continues … Around the festival’s headquarters, Metropolink’s Commissary, a compositional melting pot is being created with artists from all over the world (including Montpellier), where urban art meets musical highlights.

For many years now, numerous artists from Montpellier (ZEST, NUBIAN, ENAER, CSS -JPG, ARKAN, SANCKOBLACK, LA FAHRENHEIT…) have come to add their touch to the festival by creating a large-scale work and offering a workshop for children and young people. This allows the artists to share their passion and know-how with the new generations, and it is a unique opportunity for the children and young people to experiment with different techniques, whether with a brush or a spray can.

The Montpellier artist selected by the festival will be announced at a later date.
