The history of Château de Fourques dates back to the 12th century. The vineyard on the outskirts of Montpellier has been run by the same family for over 100 years, who carefully maintain the high quality of their winegrowing and winemaking. Since 1920, the estate has been run by women, with true “girl power”. The estate covers an area of 50 hectares and produces all colors of wine: red, white and rosé. These wines are produced according to the regulations of three excellent appellations: AOP Languedoc, AOP Saint Georges d’Orques, AOP Grès de Montpellier. In addition, the winery is committed to working in harmony with nature. Protecting the greatest possible biodiversity in general is a top priority for the winery and has been awarded the “Haute Valeur Environmentale – High Ecological Standard” label since 2019. The current manager of Château de Fourques, Lise Fons-Vincent, has created a rich wine tourism offer with her own personal touch. A visit to the estate will give you an incomparable experience into the world of wine. The estate has been represented at the Montpellier Metropolitan Region Wine Fair in Heidelberg since the very beginning.
