(Language) Tandem
Would you like to speak French in your free time, perhaps following your ERASMUS year in France or a French course, but haven’t had much opportunity to do so? Then a tandem might be just the thing for you:
The Montpellier House provides Germans and French with a tandem exchange. You simply fill out a form with your contact details and details of what you expect from your tandem (here on site or by e-mail), which can then be viewed by French-speaking interested parties. Of course, you can also view the requests from the French and then contact the people directly.
A brief explanation for anyone who is not yet familiar with the tandem principle: A tandem is an exchange between two people with different mother tongues with the aim of learning each other’s language, but of course also to get to know each other’s country and culture better. Normally, one language is spoken half of the time during each meeting. You and your tandem partner determine the type and frequency of the meetings (e.g. whether you meet for a coffee or go to the movies, etc.). If you are interested, simply send us an e-mail or drop by the Montpellier House during opening hours.
You can consult the tandem guide or the video conference guide.
