Bal populaire for the French national holiday
A Bal Folk with the Quatuor “Les Trous d’Bal” – live music
In the courtyard of the Montpellier House, Kettengasse 19, 69117 Heidelberg, admission free
As every year, we celebrate the French national holiday together with all those who want to celebrate in the French way with a “bal trad”, a traditional bal, which is not only popular in France, and which will encourage us not only to listen but also to dance. With the quatuor “Les Trous d’Bal” from Montpellier, we experience traditional music from France and elsewhere, as well as French chansons. Bourrées, mazurkas, circus circles, chapelloises, Guillaum Rigaud on the accordion, René Hennequin on the guitar, Simon Doué on the flute and Sophie Touma on the violin sing and play dances from the past, inviting us to meet them while dancing. As always, we offer full-bodied wines from Montpellier
and look forward to the delicious quiches and cheese platters from the Amicale F (French Circle of Friends at Bunsengymnasium), lovingly prepared by the parents.
