A summer in Corsica: Khédidja doesn’t hesitate for long when the wealthy Parisian family for whom she works as a nanny makes her this offer. She is supposed to look after their children there – her own two teenage daughters, Jessica and Farah, are allowed to come with her. For Khédidja, it is a return to her old home, as 15 years ago she left the island with her young children under tragic circumstances. While she struggles with her memories, the two girls indulge in all the temptations of summer: they enjoy their days on the beach, make chance acquaintances and have their first experiences of love. But they too have questions about the past and whether the version of the family story told by their mother is the only valid one.

Set against the summery backdrop of Corsica, Catherine Corsini’s new feature film tells an intelligent story about three strong women and how they deal with social inequality.
