Miguel Garay and Julio Arenas have known each other since their time together in the military. The two friends love adventure and the world of film, so it comes as no surprise that they embark on a project together. But when the popular actor Julio disappears without a trace during filming and the police close the case as an accidental death, Miguel loses not only a film but also his close friend. A good 20 years later, a camera crew sets out to solve the mystery and asks Miguel to reflect on the past and their friendship.

Víctor Erice (*1940) is a Basque director and author. After completing his studies, he worked as a screenwriter and critic before presenting his first short films to the public. His feature film debut THE SPIRIT OF THE BEAST was awarded the Golden Shell at the Festival Internacional de Cine de Donostia-San Sebastián in 1973. After a long break, Erice finally returned to the movie theater in 2023 with CERRAR LOS OJOS.
