In Marseille, 60-year-old Rosa has dedicated her life to both her family and trade union politics with the same sense of sacrifice. Everyone thinks she is unshakeable. Rosa finds a solution to every challenge, until one day she falls in love with Henri. For the first time in decades, Rosa is afraid to make a commitment. Should she demand something for herself and cut back on her family and union?
MARIUS AND JEANNETTE – A LOVE IN MARSEILLE (1997) brought Robert Guédiguian (*1953) international fame. Since then, the producer, screenwriter and director has been a friend of long-standing and proven (working) relationships: In addition to his hometown of Marseille, which we experience in this film with one of the last traumatic events, we also see many faces from his previous films again in ET LA FÊTE CONTINUE, first and foremost his partner Ariane Ascaride. https://www.filmtage-mittelmeer.de/
