Film Days of the Mediterranean: German-Turkish concert EMRE YEŞIL & BAND
38th Film Days of the Mediterranean 22.1. – 2.2.2025 At TiK, Marlene-Dietrich-Platz 3, 69126 Heidelberg, admission €17, reduced €12, advance ticket sales online: www.filmtage-mittelmeer.de or at Karlstorkino or Montpellier-Haus (during opening hours). Emre Yeşil is an up-and-coming German-Turkish indie pop singer who builds a bridge between two worlds with his unique blend of modern pop melodies and cultural influences from Turkey. His music combines catchy melodies with profound lyrics and appeals to both the older generation who grew up with classic Turkish songs and young listeners who are interested in innovative pop sounds. He draws his artistic inspiration from the “Açık Koltuk” concept of renowned Turkish singer Zeynep Bastik, where he performed his song “Sevdamız” in 2020. He has set himself the goal of bringing the German-Turkish community in Germany closer together and promoting a sense of belonging and community. Through his music, he wants to create a space in which different generations and cultures can enter into dialog with each other. Emre Yeşil is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Popular Music at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg. He will be accompanied at this concert by André Haaf (keyboard), Jordi Doben (drums) and Eren Şanlı (Bağlama).
