From 1975 to 1990, Beirut was a divided city. Fida Bizri was born in 1975 and as a child experienced the absurd normality of the Lebanese civil war, in which death lined her path to school every day. Together with Sylvie Ballyot, she returns to the places of her childhood and explores the gaps in her own memory by talking to perpetrators and victims. Fida’s old and new impressions are interwoven in animated and documentary sequences and trace her search for answers to the questions of her childhood. The film was awarded the Junior Jury Award First Prize – International Competition in Locarno 2024.
