MUSÉE DE LODÈVE IN OCCITANIA

In cooperation with the Kurpfälzisches Museum, the Montpellier House has been traveling through the Occitanie region in the south of France for a few years now to present interesting museums from the region. This year, it is dedicated to the Musée de Lodève, which is housed in a 17th century manor house in the hinterland of Montpellier. It was completely redesigned in 2018. Its architecture, which successfully combines the old with the contemporary, and its appealing museum design have won several awards. The
museum also focuses on art and science in equal measure thanks to its special exhibitions.
Auriso Moreno studied art history in Montpellier and started working at the Musée de Lodève in 2008. Since 2015, she has worked alongside the director as deputy curator, and has been deputy director since 2023. Exhibitions she has co-curated include “Identities in Brazil”, “Fauna from Antiquity to Picasso” and “Weaving Color”.
