After many years, the Montpellier House is looking forward to a renewed cooperation with the Jazzclub Heidelberg, in the context of which we are again inviting Heidelberg saxophonist Rainer Pusch with his French Quartet. After a long absence due to stays in India, he returned to the South of France. With his band, he brings old and new compositions to Heidelberg, moving between melodic, contemporary jazz and fusion – from India, that is. “In the beginning, music was my life. Over time, I have come to the realization that music reflects my life. I don’t know any musical dogmas or stylistic demarcations. You can recognize good music by the fact that it touches you. With Jean-Marie Frédéric (guitar) and Gabrielle Koehlhoeffer (bass), both of whom we already got to hear in Heidelberg, the latter in the same room at Enjoy Jazz 2022, and Eric Bertheau (percussion).
